Born October 27, 1888 in Varna, IL, daughter of August and Christina Veden. Lived 44 years in Rockford, coming here from Varna.
Married to Carl Benson in Varna August 27, 1908. He died in 1944.
Member of First Lutheran Church, Varna.
Attended Varna public schools.
Survivors include: one daughter, Mrs. Clinton (Helen) Anderson, two granddaughters, Mrs. Joan Pena; and Miss Nancy Benson; a grandson, Steven Benson; and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services at noon Saturday, July 21, in First Lutheran Cemetery #1, Varna, IL, with Rev. James E. Walker, pastor of the Varna church, officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday.
