Mr McCutcheon was a member of the board of trustees of the Ridgewood YWCA and served as a deacon at Emmanuel Baptist Church. He retired from Bell Telephone in 1962.
Surviving are his wife, the former Anne S McCartney of Ho-Ho-Kus; a daughter, Mrs L (Arne) Skilbred of Montclair; one son, the Rev James N McCutcheon of Kalmazoo, MI; two brothers, Wm P of Huntington, WV and B Stewart of Chicago, IL, and seven grandchildren.
