W.C. Cooley's Rites Thursday
Rites for William C. Cooley, 65 year old restaurant owner, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Smith & Kernke funeral chapel. Burial will be in Rose hill cemetery.
Cooley, a native of Kansas, died at Polyclinic hospital Tuesday (3rd) of a heart ailment. He was stricken about two weeks ago.
Cooley came to Oklahoma City 39 years ago from Purcell. For 18 years he was employed by southwestern Bell telephone Company. At the time of his death he operated a restaurant at NW 25 and Classen.
Born in Cloud County, Kansas, he spent most of his life in Oklahoma.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Edna Cooley, of the home; four sons, W. W. Cooley, Wichita, Kansas; Joe R. Cooley, 1040 SW Binkley; Paul Cooley, 3221 N. Roff; and Eugene Cooley, 2714 SW 35; three daughters, Mrs. Clara May Wynne, Everett, Washington; Mrs. Elizabeth Cox, San Francisco, California and Mrs. Frances Wynne, 3416 S. Lynn and seven brothers.
