Martha Anne Willis Daugherty, 74, of Pine Bluff died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009.

She was born Sept. 23, 1935, in Hickory Plains to Marion and Ruby Day Willis.

Mrs. Daugherty graduated from Bauxite High School in 1954. She was in the first majorette line at Bauxite High School and was also a member of the band and a cheerleader. She was a homemaker and a member of the Beta Sigma Phi. She attended Family Church. She loved her flower gardens and cherished her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Lawrence Willis; and two sisters, Bernice Willis Fietz and Geraldine Willis Frazier.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, W.K. "Doc" Daugherty Jr., who she married in Dec. 20, 1956; two sons, Warren Kelley "Butch" Daugherty and wife Judy and Lawrence Charles Daugherty and wife Donna, all of Harrison; two daughters, Tamara Anne Gates of Pine Bluff and Anglia Suzanne Gay and husband Rusty of Monticello; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Charles Willis of Benton.

Funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Cranford Funeral Home in White Hall with home group pastor, the Rev. John Henry officiating. Burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.

Pallbearers are Sammy Talkington, Ross Reeves, Jack Hodshire, Doug Hale, Ricky Aureli and Russell Gay.

Memorials may be made to the Bauxite Historical Association and Museum.
