Isaac W. Hayne was a graduate of the South Carolina College and served as Private Secretary and aid-de-camp to Governor Robert Y. Hayne in 1830. He was called to the bar in 1831 and practiced with Henry W. Perroneau, Esq. He was elected Attorney General of South Carolina in the late 1840s and served in that position during the Civil War.
