Stanley Joseph "Mike" Smith, 84, died Tuesday, March 15, 1994, in Redding, Calif. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn E. (Cammock) Smith; daughter and son-in-law, Jerrine and Kenneth Ducat, Redding, Calif., son and daughter-in-law, William "Mike" and Ruth Smith, Golden, Colo.; adopted daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and Troy Edwards, Klamath Falls; sisters, Reona (Smith) Hartung & Mary (Smith) Harris of Lolo, Mont., brothers, Martin & Charles "Duke" Smith, Billings, Mont., Morgan Smith of Portland, Oreg., and George Smith, Great Falls, Mont.; grandchildren Dana & Richard Elzner, Shawn & Jerrod Ducat, Shelly (Smith) and Ed Mareovich, Angela (Smith)& Bill Samudio, Jennifer (Smith) & Craig McDonald; great grandchildren, Riana and Keith Elzner, Wesley Mareovich, Jennifer & Joseph "Joey" Samudio, and Crystal McDonald.
A Mass of the Resurrrection will be offered at Saint Pius the Xth Catholic Church on Monday, March 21, 1994, at 10:00 am with Rev. Charles Dreisbach celebrant. Concluding services will follow at Eternal Hills Memorial Gardens. A Holy Rosary will be offered at Eternal Hills Funeral Home on Sunday, March 20, 1994, at 7 pm. Eternal Hills Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Stanley J. "Mike" Smith was employed as a Boiler Room Superintendent for a sugar factory prior to 1946 in Billings, Mont. The position was deemed necessary for national defence during WWII since sugar was a necessary component of many products during the war. Therefore he was not subject of being drafted due to his occupation.
Shortly after moving to Klamath Falls, Oreg. in 1946, he was employed by Weyerhauser Timber Co., which he retired from in 1971 at the age of 62. Mike was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the out of doors.
