Rick D. Whitaker, 42, formerly of Ridgeway, MO, died Tuesday, October 20, 2009. He was born March 15, 1967 in Bethany, MO, the son of Farrel and Deanna (Damon) Whitaker. He met his wife, Letitia Flint of Bethany, when they worked together at Hardee's and they were married on December 24, 1989. She survives of the home. Survivors in addition to his wife, are 2 daughters of the home; parents, Farrel and Deanna Whitaker, Ridgeway, MO; 1 brother, Ridgeway, MO; 2 sisters of Bethany, MO and many special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; sister, Susan Whitaker and his long time best friend, Mike Marsh. Rick was a devoted husband and father. His most treasured times were spent with his girls, especially when he was able to take them hunting and see them tag their first deer. His patriotism and love for his country was unsurpassed. He strongly and willingly supported his wife throughout her 20 years in the military. Rick was well known in the Gower area as the owner of Rick's Heating and Air Conditioning. He was an honest and loyal businessman and his services will be sadly missed. Rick was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gower. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 26 at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Burial in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Ridgeway, MO.
