Lydia Craighill Rochelle, 83, of Rockbridge Baths, died Tuesday, March 2, 1993, at the Stonewall Jackson Hospital, Lexington. Mrs. Rochelle was born June 21, 1909, in South Boston, a daughter of the late George Peyton and Cornelia Laird Craighill. She was a widow of Philip T. Rochelle, was a member of the Bethesda Presbyterian Church, and was a former dorm mother at Randolph-Macon Women's College, Lynchburg.
She is survived by a daughter and a son; a sister, Elizabeth Wickersham, and a brother, Lloyd Craighill, both of Rockbridge Baths; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
