Marifred Vaughan Jackson, 88, of Memphis, died Thursday, October 22, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Born November 22, 1920 in Yorkville, Tennessee to Fred and Mary Edmondson Vaughan, she is survived by her husband of 65 years, Dr. Thomas M. Jackson and her cousins: Jim and Marcia Vaughan, of Murray, KY and Mary and Bob Carpenter and their twin daughters, Libby and Molly, of Union City, Tennessee. Mrs. Jackson was a graduate of Central High School and attended Sullins College in Bristol, Virginia. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church, King's Daughters and the Laurelwood Garden Club Her bridge clubs and friends were a life-long joy. The family will received friends at Canale Funeral Directors on Monday, October 26, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Memorial Park Cemetery.
