Coteau- A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 21, 2009 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Coteau for Bernard Alleman, Sr., 76 who died Monday, May 18, 2009 in Lafayette.

Entombment will follow in the church mausoleum.

Rev. Barry Crochet will be the Celebrant.

Born on October 27, 1932, Mr. Bernard was a native and lifelong resident of Iberia Parish. He enjoyed riding horses, farming, and taking care of his animals.

Survivors include his wife, Cevrila Segura Alleman of New Iberia; sons, Bernard Alleman, Jr. of Broussard, Larry Alleman and wife Susan of New Iberia, Tony Alleman and wife Dawn of New Iberia; daughters, Betty Alleman of New Iberia, Patsy Thibodeaux and husband Kirk of New Iberia, Laura Alleman of New Iberia; daughter-in-law, Charlena Alleman of New Iberia; brother, Easton Alleman of New Iberia; sisters, Elodie Blanchard of New Iberia, Elodia Flores of New Iberia; grandchildren, Brooke Alleman, Charley Alleman, Britney Alleman, Emmi Alleman, Brian Borres, Natasha Borres, Ryan Guillot, Cegie Bodin, Whitney Thibodeaux, Natisha Delcambre, Blair Derouen; great grandchildren, Chase Borres, Lainnah Borres, Kainnah Borres, Draigen Stoute, Khoda Stoute, Drew Guillot, Jenna Derouen, Kenzie Sonnier, and Kaelum Sonnier.

He was preceded in death by his parent Andurs and Neola Bourque Alleman; son, Andurs "Nookie" Alleman; an infant daughter; sisters, Levie A. Bergeron, Nola A. Floris; brothers, Clus Alleman, Ulyesse Allman, Ursey Alleman, Julien Alleman, Irvin Alleman, and Ray Alleman.

Pallbearers will be Brian Borres, Jr., Ryan Guillot, Kirk Thibodeaux, Tony Alleman, Larry Alleman, Bernard Alleman, Jr., Robert Reuth, and Scott Derouen.

A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday from 9:30 AM until Thursday 12:30 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia.

A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM Wednesday.
