St. George--Mrs. Emma Rosetta Hunt Cox, 73, died at her home in St. George Tuesday at 2 a.m. of a lingering illness.

Mrs. Cox was born in St. George November 2, 1873, a daughter of Isaac and Partha Ann Barney Hunt. She was married May 24, 1894, to Henderson E. Cox in the St. George Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Mr. Cox died in 1941. Mrs. Cox was an active member of the LDS Relief Society.

Survivors include nine sons and daughters, LeRoy H., Eldon W., Hyrum H., Rulon B., and Robert E. Cox, a ll of St. George; Marion E. Cox, Providence, Cache County; Mrs. Elizabeth C. Murphy, Los Angeles; Mrs. Emma C. Burton, North Hollywood, California and Mrs. Nellie C. Slade, Springville, Arizona; 22 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, five sisters, Mrs. Louisa Jacobson, Mrs. Claude Cannon, Mrs. Ralph Carter, St. Geogre; Mrs. Mary E. Gubler, LaVerkin, Washington County and Mrs. Jed Cox, Los Angeles and a brother, Isaac Hunt, St. George.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the St. George West Ward Chapel by James Anderson, bishop. Burial will be in the St. George Cemetery.
