On 13 March 1980, Captain Brad Allen Logan, a member of the US Air Force Academy Class of 1975, was killed when the F-4G aircraft hit San Miguel Peak and crashed in bad weather. At the time of the accident, Brad was flying as part of a three-ship training mission on the gunnery range in northern Spain. The other crewmember, Major George M Bourque of Biddeford, Maine, was also killed. Brad was assigned to the 406th Tactical Fighter Training Wing, Ramsteim, West Germany at the time of his death.

Brad Logan's hometown was Newfoundland, PA. While a Cadet, Brad was a member of the 10th Cadet Squadron. He participated in the scuba, mountaineering, ski, and chemistry clubs; was on the Dean's List and the Commandant's List; and majored in Chemistry. Brad received his pilot wings at Craig Air Force Base, Alabama.

He was survived by his wife, a sister, Pamela Follmer, and his parents, Gerald Willis and Delores Marion (Corey) Logan of Newfoundland, PA.

On 12 Jun 1976, he married Roxanne Marie Erwin, who had served in the US Army. In 1995, Roxanne, a teacher at Ullom Elementary School in Las Vegas, died on the 15th anniversary of Brad's crash when she was murdered by a drifter.

LOOKOUT M O U N T A I N , Colo. -- The Rockland Community Church in Lookout Mountain, Colo, was the setting for the June 12 wedding of Roxanne Marie Erwin of Denver and Lt. Brad A. Logan of Craig AFB, Selma, Ala. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Charles S. Erwin of Denver. The groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Gerald W. Logan of Newfoundland. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Lyle Schossow. The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Capt. Charles.S. Erwin. Susan Morris of Colorado Springs was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Pamela Logan, Newfoundland, sister of the groom, and Patricia Erwin, sister-in-law of the bride, Colorado Springs. Lt. David Hensley, Craig AFB, was best man. Groomsmen were Lt. Joseph Dowdy and Lt. George Martin of Reese AFB, Tex. A buffet reception was held for the family and close friends at the Denver Holiday Inn North. Following a wedding trip to New Orleans, Lt. and Mrs. Logan will make their home at Craig AFB. The bride is a cum laude graduate of the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley, and has taught in Jefferson County, Colo. The groom is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and is taking pilot training at Craig AFB.
