Mr. Ingram was a World War II veteran serving in the 139th First Engineers Forestry Company. He was awarded the Bronze Star, the European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal with three Bronze Service Stars, World War II Victory Medal, and Good Conduct Medal. Mr. Ingram served for forty years as a Democratic Beat Committeeman for Blount County and served many years on the Blount County Soil and Water Conservation Committee. He was a member of Shiloh Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by parents, Clinton Luther Ingram and Clara Nix Ingram; brothers, Russell, Raymond and Luther Ingram; sisters, Gladys Hullett, Katie Lou Ingram and Nellie Moore.
