Jeremiah Farnsworth was the son of John Farnsworth (1652-1729) and Hannah Aldis (1666-1720), and grandson of Matthias Farnsworth (1612-1689), who emigrated from England in 1647.
On 18 Jan 1728 he married Sarah Gilson in Groton; she was born 1 May 1700.
They had two children whose births were recorded in Groton:
1) Hannah (1729-1816), who married Isaac Willard on 31 Mar 1748.
2) Sarah (born 22 Aug 1730, died 2 Nov 1731).
