Dave was a faithful member of Oak Park Church of God in Shawnee, where he was a children's minister for more than five years. He was faithful to God and his church. He was also active in the motorcycle group call Holy Rollerz T.E.A.M. (Telling Everyone About the Messiah), founded by the same church. He was very devoted to the Lord, his church, and to his family.
Dave also enjoyed a weekend away camping with his family from time to time. He retired from Eaton Corporation after 28 years of employment, where he was a tool and die maker for many years before he became an engineer.
After his retirement he worked at the Tecumseh Public School system as a bus driver and performed other duties. He was also a safety instructor at Gordon Cooper Technology Center for five years where he conducted field training at many different companies in the local area.
Dave volunteered for many organizations through the years to include: L.E.P.C. (Local Emergency Planning Committee) for 19 years; Pottawatomie Emergency Management Staff for 16 years; Mid-Central Oklahoma Chapter American Red Cross for 14 years; Emergency Response Commission for 13 years; Pottawatomie County Storm Spotter for 11 years; Pottawatomie County United Way Board for four years; ASIS member for four years; NFPA member for four years; and SARA Title III Ad-Hoc Committee for Oklahoma Hazardous Materials.
He was preceeded in death by his father, Rue Sisco; sister-in-law, Barbara Sisco; and a nephew, Bobby Lee Sisco. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sylvia Sisco of Tecumseh; three sons and two daughters-in-law, David Sisco Jr. and his wife Kristen of Tecumseh, Kenneth Sisco and his wife Christal of Ponca City and Wes Sisco of Tecumseh; five grandchildren, Matthew Sisco and his wife Dani, Britni Sisco, Shelbi Sisco, Jacob Sisco and Hannah Sisco; one great-grandchild on the way; mother, Christie Sisco of Tecumseh; sister, Doris Day of Washington State; and a brother, Robert Sisco of Tecumseh.
Service will be 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 12, at Sharon Baptist Church with the Rev. Leroy Kerbo officiating. Burial will be at Tecumseh Cemetery.
