She was born 12-16-1919 in Washington County the daughter of the late Thomas Cleveland Loyd and Ella G. Gollenhon Loyd. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Bessie Tickle, Alice Wagner, Grace Kestner, Edith Duff and Irene Dunsmore; and brothers George and Bob Loyd.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, East Gate Chapter No 12 Rio Road Church of the Brethren; and was retired from restaurant work in the Washington, D.C. area.
Survivors included her husband Clinton King of Charlottesville; a daughter Patricia Hadley of Okalahoma City; a son Boyd "Clint" King of Charlottesville; a sister Ruby L. Douglas of Virginia Beach; and three grandchildren Brandon Hadley, Heidi Hadley, and Meghan Hadley.
