Mrs. Mary Ann Scroggins died at the P. and S. Hospital. Funeral services were held from the Calvary Baptist Church with Revs. Durward Geddie and Clyde Griffin conducting the rites. Burial was in Concord cemetery, near Cayuga.
 Surviving are two sons, C. T. Clay, Corsicana; C. W. Clay, Fort Worth; two daughters, Mrs. O. M. Davis, Ennis; Mrs. J. M. Dickson, Mertens; three step-sons, Ira Scroggins, Houston; E. J. Scroggins, Mt. Calm; E.W. Scroggins, Pasadena; three step-daughters, Mrs. V. J. Shaw, Houston; Mrs. John Combs, Pasadena; Mrs. J.C. Hughes, Borger; a sister, Mrs. T. J. Vincent, Houston; four brothers, John Gurganus, Bethel, Jim Gurganus, Fort Worth; Luke Gurgenus, Bethel; Floyde Gurganus, Mont Alba; 20 grandchildren, and other relatives. Corley's Funeral Home directed the arrangements. Pallbearers were Clyde Horn, Floyde Yarbrough, L. O. Taylor, Earnest Jones, E. L. Cox and O. E. Abbey.
