Patricia (Pat) is survived by three children, Robert Zuber (Theresa) and Jerry Zuber (Claudette) of Benton and Debbie Raper (Tony) of El Dorado.
"Granny Zuber" is also survived by five grandsons, Robbie Zuber (Melissa), Nick Zuber (Melissa), Josh Zuber (Amanda), Joseph Zuber (Jessi) and Allen Johnson all of Benton and five granddaughters, Trish Smith (Jeremy), Katie Davis (Jon) and Crystal Johnson of Benton and Toni McMahan (Michael) of El Dorado and Michelle Lawson (Greg) of Fayetteville. She is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren.
Pat also leaves to cherish her memory, two brothers and sisters-in-law David and Jenny Huff and Sam and Shirley Huff all of Texas and two sisters Dove Brown and Polly Abshire and husband, Dalton also of Texas and step-sister Martha Becker (Lincoln) of Kansas.
Mrs. Zuber was predeceased by her parents and one brother, John Huff and two sisters Martha Hunter and Mary Burnett and step-father, John Becker and two great grandchildren, Erica Johnson and Bryson Smith.
Pat was also predeceased by her husband Joe Zuber who she married June 28, 1952. Mr. Zuber passed away eleven days before their 57th anniversary in June of this year. Before her husband's death, Pat and Joe were rarely seen without each other. During her husband's lengthy illness, Pat was at his side every day caring for his needs and reminding him of happier times. The two spent many hours camping and four wheeler riding together before their health declined. Pat said many times how blessed she felt to have met and married the love of her life.
Pat retired from Saline and Southwest Hospitals where she worked many years as a Unit Secretary and then Monitor Tech in the ICU and CCU. She was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church and began every day with prayer and Bible study. She was a wonderful cook and excellent homemaker who found great joy in serving her family and having large family gatherings at her home which was open to all. Her family never arrived or left her home without being told they were loved.
Funeral will be Thursday 10 a.m. at Ashby Funeral Home with burial at Cameron Cemetery.
Visitation Wednesday night from 7-9 at Ashby's. Services to be conducted by Bro. Vance Nutt and Bro. Jay Jacobs.
Pallbearers will be cousins and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to American Heart Association and to the Missionary Baptist Seminary.
