William Grant Meals, 65 years old, died at his home in Jones, Tuesday morning. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nora I Meals, three sons Elton Burns Meals of Jones;
Burl B. Meals of Portland, Oregon; and William Grant Meals jr; one sister, Mrs. Ira F. Brame of Gettysburg, Pa., one brother, Louis Meals of Gettysburg Pennsylvania,
funeral services will be announced later by Perrine funeral parlors.

Funeral services for William G. Meals, 55, years old, who died at his home in Jones Tuesday morning will be conducted at the Methodist Church in Jones Thursday afternoon at 230 o'clock, by Rev. Orin F. Elliott.
Burial will be in the Jones Cemetery. Services will be under the direction of the Perrine Funeral Parlors.

1/12/1927 Railroad Agent at Jones Drops Dead (Wednesday)
William Grant Meals, 55 year old, Depot agent and telegrapher for the Frisco railroad at Jones, drop dead at his station Tuesday. Death was caused by heart trouble, it was announced. The body was taken to the Perrine undertaking parlors.
Meals had been in the employee of the Frisco company for 13 years and was apparently in the best of health, it was said.

W.G. MEALS THE VICTIM OF FATAL HEART ATTACK
William Grant Meals, Frisco agent at Jones City, died suddenly about 8:20 Tuesday morning a few minutes after arriving at the station to begin his day's work. Heart failure was the cause of his death. He was 55 years old. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the M. E. church in Jones, Rev. O. F. Elliott officiating. Burial was made in the Odd Fellows cemetery. The services at the grave were in charge of the Masonic fraternity, of which deceased was a member. Deceased is survived by his wife, Nora I. Meals; three sons, Burl B. Meals of Portland, Oregon: Elton Burns Meals of Jones and William Grant Meals Jr; one sister and one brother, Mrs. Ira F. Brame and Louis s Meals, both of Gettysburg, Pa. Mr. Meals' death was witnessed by Walter House, a Frisco operator who had arrived on a train a few minutes before to take the night job, by Mr. Gilchrist, the druggist and by Earl Dunham, the latter two having been called into the station office as soon as Mr. Meals was stricken. Mr. Meals had been the night operator here for several years, and recently upon the resignation of E. E. Beckerdite as agent, had been checked in as regular day agent. He had been complaining of late, but it was not thought his condition was serious. The relatives have the sincere sympathy of all in their sad loss.
