MORTON -- James J. Hanley, 75, of 3111 W. Richwoods, Peoria, formerly of 404 N. Bauman Ave., Morton, died at 3:15 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 31, 1995, at Sharon Willow South in Peoria.

Born June 13, 1920, in Peoria to William and Anastacia Doyle Hanley, he married Ruth W. Wullenwaber on May 9, 1959, in Morton. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Edward J. of Morton; and one brother, Charles of Weslaco, Texas. One brother and one sister preceded him in death.

He was a security guard with the Pinkerton Agency in Peoria before retiring.

He was a World War II Army veteran.

He was a member of Morton Community United Church of Christ in Morton. He also was a member and past president of Morton Lions Club and a past member of Morton Kiwanis Club.

He was a volunteer for Morton Public Library and We Care Inc. in Morton.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Roberts Cemetery.
