She was the daughter on William & Beulah (Ward) Ballinger
When her father and stepmother moved off to Ohio, with other members of the family, Abigail stayed behind in the household of a family named Woods.
When she was 18 years old her brother came and got her and took her to Ohio.
She married Sylvanus Pope, 13 Apr 1862, Paulding County, Ohio. He was 16 years her senior and a school teacher. They moved from one school district to the other over the years.
When her second set of twins were born, her health being frail, she let the neighbors (Case family) care for Ada. When she ask for her back they begged to keep her and she let them. This she said she regretted the rest of her life. They changed her name to Celia Case.

She was the mother of eleven children;

5. Ada (twin) b-4 Mar 1868, AKA Celia Case
