Gertrude P. Slade, 82, formerly of Brighton Towers in Syracuse, New York, died Saturday, October 17, 2009 at Community General Hospital in Syracuse. Gertrude was born in Hopewell, New York. She was a graduate of Lyons High School. She retired in 1972 after 20 years at Super-Security Trust in Rochester. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Slade in 1977.
She is survived by her son, Roger R. Watson of Preble, New York; two granddaughters, Michelle Watson of Liverpool, New York and Tracy (Lou) Burke of Camillus, New York.
Services will be Thursday, October 22, 2009, 1:00 p.m. at +Burial will be in White Haven Cemetery, Pittsford, New York.
