Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at 11 a.m., in the Danny Carter Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Roans Creek Cemetery. Brother Bobby Pinckley and Brother Dan Winkler will officiate the services.
Mr. Pinckley was born January 13, 1919 in Carroll County, TN to the late John Pinckley and Elizabeth Rigsby Pinckley.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Natalie Pinckley, who passed away December 16, 2005; a son, Jimmy Pinckley; two brothers, Charlie Pinckley and Flavil Pinckley.
He was owner and operator of the Natalie Shoppe. He was a member of the Huntingdon Church of Christ and an elder for 21 years. He was retired from the Milan Arsenal and served as the Commanding Civilian Officer, the Mayor of the Town of Huntingdon, having served five terms, 1976-1982 and 1984 -1988. He was also a member of the Huntingdon Rotary Club, having served as District Governor, and he was also a Paul Harris Fellow.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Kenny Bolen of Huntingdon, TN; five grandchildren, Jessica Kee, Rebecca Bolen, Mark Bolen, Angela Blankenship and Michelle Pinckley. He also leaves four great-grandchildren.
