Teresa (Lampe) Newman, Ponca City resident, died Thursday, March 10, 2005 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. She was 56.
A service will be held in the chapel of the Trout Funeral Home at 10am on Tuesday, March 15, 2005 with the Rev. Larry Leatherman, officiating. Burial will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
The family will greet friends on Monday evening from 6-8pm at Trout Funeral Home.
Teresa was born on Sept. 13, 1948 in Ponca City to Marion and Virginia (Tracy) Lampe. For several years she owned and operated the Lil Country Kitchen restaurant. In the late 1970's, she was the first woman Lineman for Ponca City and possibly for the state of OK. She also worked with PTI securities as a security guard for Conoco. Teresa loved to cook, watch movies and play board games (especially scrabble). She also enjoyed cooking her creme puffs for family and friends. Teresa loved the outdoors, where she enjoyed camping. Her greatest moments were those spent with her family. Her grandchildren were a special part of her life.
Family members include seven children, Lorrinda Seal of Ponca City, Dennis Hogan, Jr. of Ponca City, DeeDee Stowe of Kingston, Randy Hogan, Frances Berry, Ronnie Newman and Joey Newman, all of Ponca City; grandchildren, Stephanie Hageman, Ryan Hageman, Dennis Hogan III, Kelli Bradley, Kasie Bradley, Skyler Cornett, Allie Hogan, Broc Hogan and McKenzi Berry; siblings, Billy Lampe, III, Laura Cook, Estle Lampe, Sally Sundeen, June Price, Alvis Lampe, Cliford Lampe, Darla Sherron and Becky Sherman, all of Ponca City; and an abundance of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Casket bearers will be her four sons Dennis, Randy, Ronnie, and Joey, and two of her grandsons, Dennis III, and Skyler.
