Orpha K. Beard, 76, died at 5:30 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Hospital, Lima.

Born August 27, 1881, in Hancock County, Mrs. Beard had moved to Alger about 15 years ago.

Surviving are her husband, William; one son, Ivan of Alger; one daughter, Mrs. Ethel B. Campbell of Alger; two grandchildren; one brother, Lawrence Presler of Van Wert; two sisters, Mrs. B. M. Bachar, Carey, and Mrs. Dale Beard, Van Lue.

Funeral arrangements are pending at Hanson Funeral Home of Alger.
