Catherine M. Diedrich, 86, 533 E. Calumet St., Chilton, died on Tuesday April 13, 2004, at the Calumet Medical Center in Chilton. She was born on March 18, 1918, in the Town of Stockbridge, daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (Kiefer) Cordy. She married Mathias Diedrich on April 30, 1936, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Stockbridge. He preceded her in death on April 12, 1992. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Hilbert, a member of the Christian Mothers, a charter member of St. Vincent DePaul and enjoyed making many cord Rosaries over the years. Catherine made in excess of 34,000 rosaries for missions.
She is survived by 10 children, David Diedrich and very special friend, Barbara Halbach, Hilbert; Mildred (Jack) Nett, Hilbert; Tony (Joan) Diedrich, Appleton; Jack (Joan) Diedrich, Sherwood; Jerry (Joyce) Diedrich, Kaukauna; Mike (Kathy) Diedrich, Green Bay; Cathy (Scott) Amrhein, Sherwood; Frank (Sherri) Diedrich, Omro; Russ (Debbie) Diedrich, Hilbert; Ellen (Lee) Pattermann, Hilbert; 32 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Celia Cordy, Chilton; Eleanor Weber, Neenah; Lorraine Van Horn, Stockbridge; Sister Helen Anthony Cordy, Milwaukee; and a brother, Francis Cordy, Chilton.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jim Diedrich; two sisters, Lorena Hemauer, and Loretta Raddatz; and two brothers, Roman and Leo Cordy.
Funeral services will be at noon on Saturday, April 17, 2004, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Hilbert with the Rev. Rallen Stencil officiating. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery.
