He served in the United States Marines during the Korean War.
Roger married Barbara Robson at Trinity Evangelical Church on Nov. 27, 1965. She preceded him in death on Aug. 26, 2008. He worked at American Motors and JI Case Company, retiring in 1991. Roger was a member of Trinity Evangelical Church serving as past trustee. He was a member of the American Legion Post #434 in Oak Creek and served on the American Legion Honor Guard. Roger was also member of the JI Case Heritage Foundation, JI Case 20 year club, Holiday Rambler camping and travel club, Pioneer Farm Machinery Club and Shoreland High School booster club. Roger belonged to Friends of Seniors and did the Bingo there an also volunteered at the Wise Penny thrift store. Roger enjoyed traveling, spending time at his place in Eagle River and at the campground there. He liked to play computer games and work in the yard. He also enjoyed meeting and talking to new people. Most importantly Roger loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by two daughters, a son in law, two grandchildren, two great grandsons, three brothers, two sisters in law, four sisters and three brothers in law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Arlan "Archie" Fink, infant brother Vilas Fink, sister in law and brother in law Doreen (Lee) Wolff and father and mother in law, George and Ann Robson.
