FOREST CITY - Denzil Lane Clark, 77, of Forest City passed away, at home, at 8:55 p.m. on Sun., Oct. 18, 2009.

He was born on Jan. 10, 1932, in Mason Co., to Ruth (Hatfield) Clark. He married Shirley J. Powell on Nov. 12, 1977 in Easton; she preceded him in death on Feb. 8, 2003.

Mr. Clark is survived by two sons, Douglas (Florence) Clark of Forest City and Bruce (Cathy) Clark of Bath; three stepdaughters, JoDee (Mark) Pedigo of Mapleton, Lisa (Jeff) Bonnett of Springfield and Terry (Dirk) Heinhorst of Manito; 5 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren; also surviving are 1 stepbrother; 2 stepsisters; 3 half brothers; and 2 half sisters.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother; 2 sisters; and 1 stepbrother.

Mr. Clark memberships included Shriners, Lakewood Golf Club Board, Jackson-Keen Legion Post in Mason City, Havana Optimist Club, and Mason County Farm Bureau. His passions were golf, hunting and farming. He had farmed his whole life in Mason County. He was also a former private airplane pilot and had served in the Navy.

Funeral services will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana on Thurs., Oct. 22, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Tom Guengrich officiating. Visitation will be held Wed. from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana.

Memorial contributions to Harbor Light Hospice or Mason District Hospital.
