HARO, Virginia Born July 8, 1930, in Los Angeles, California. Passed away October 16, 2009, in Lancaster, California. She grew up in Newhall, California, and lived in the Antelope Valley for 41 years. She was a Philanthropist, educator, orphanage supporter, missionary, evangelist, and fund-raiser for numerous causes such as the seminarians education fund. Helped people in need and especially the youth. International traveler who loved people. Survived by 7 children; sons Jesse (Christina) of Lancaster, Calif., David of Paradise Valley, Ariz., Manuel (Maribel) of Quartz Hill, Calif., daughters; Frances Walker (Jerry) of Paradise Valley, Ariz., Rosalva Lannen (Larry) of Irving, Texas, Yolanda Webb (Jerrald) of Palmdale, Calif., Teresa Haro of Mesa, Ariz., 23 grandchildren Wendy and Mike Free of Scottsdale, Ariz., Wayne Walker of Paradise Valley, Ariz., Tanya and Daniel Swart of Indianapolis, Ind., Jana and Keith Lannen of Prague

Viewing will be held from 3 to 7 p.m., with a Rosary at 5 p.m., Tuesday, October 20, 2009, at Chapel of the Valley Mortuary, Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at Father Serra Catholic Church, Quartz Hill. Burial; Procession to cemetery from church. There will be a reception at the church immediately following graveside service. The family asks that in lieu of flowers a donation for Virginias Charities in Mexico would be appreciated (Girls Orphanage-Casa Hogar, Seminarians Education Fund, Santa Marta Sonora, Mission and Tierra Generosa, Nayarit cemetery chapel) C/O Frances Walker, 6700 East Malcomb, Paradise Valley, AZ 85263 (480) 560-9912.
