Mrs. Lillie Adkins, 56, of Hamlin, died Sunday, May 17 in a Huntington Hospital. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Koontz Funeral Home at Hamlin by the Rev. Russell Adkins. Burial was in the Lovejoy Cemetery at Palermo. Born March 22, 1914, at Palermo, she was a daughter of the late Douglas and Electra Canterbury Burgess, and the widow of Dowe Adkins. Survivors, two sons Danna Adkins in Ohio, and Dallas Adkins of Salt Rock, four daughters Mrs. Elouise Brunty of West Hamlin Mrs. Joyce Jones of Columbus, Ohio Mrs. Judith Swims of Cleveland, Ohio and Mrs. JoHellen Adkins of Branchland; four brothers Tunnie Burgess in California and Lou Burgess of Barboursville, James Burgess of Ohio, Audrea Lucas of West Hamlin, and 24 grandchildren and a great grandchild.
