Benjamin died sometime after the 1880 census when he was recorded in Franklin Twp., Ripley Co., Indiana. There is no known headstone for him in the Shockley Cemetery in Franklin Twp., Ripley Co., Indiana where his wife Betsey was buried in 1886 and 3 of his sons were buried in 1890.
I suspect that he was buried at the Shockley cemetery with no surviving headstone, but it is possible that he left the area, perhaps to live with one of his children.
