Mr. Eldon Russell walked into his Saviors Arms on Friday August 1, 2008. He served his Lord daily through his living testimony. He was a graduate of the University of Arkansas, he retired from the US Army Corps of Engineers after 42 years of service in Florida and Alabama, he was a Professional Engineer in three states, and was a long time member of Woodmont Baptist Church. Mr. Russell was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Betty Jean Russell of Mobile, AL, three children Robert Russell of Mobile, AL, Robin (Dal) Cannady of Statesboro, GA, and Randy (Zuleima) Russell of Mobile, AL, six grandchildren Emily Cannady of Statesboro, GA, Jackson Cannady of Statesboro, GA, Benjamin Cannady of Statesboro, GA, Randy Russell of Mobile, AL and Jonathan Russell of Mobile, AL, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Pine Crest Funeral Home on Monday August 4, 2008 at 11AM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 9 until 11AM. Graveside services will be held in Forest Hills Cemetery in Alexander, AR on Thursday August 7, 2008 at 10AM.
