The people of the Nicholls section were shocked and grieved to learn of the death of Mr. David (Bully) Kirkland, 67 years of age, this morning at 7 o'clock from a heart attack. Mr. Kirkland, one of the leading citizens of the section of the county, had been confined to his bed a few days. He had been a victim of a heart malady for some time. A member of a prominent family bearing his name, Mr. Kirkland was held in highest esteem by all who knew him. He had lived practically all his life on a farm in the vicinity in which he died.

He is survived by his wife and four sons, Zean W., of Ware county, Joe of Nicholls, Cicero, of Florida and Tally Kirkland, prominent and young Atlanta attorney, and one daughter, Mrs. Mark Rigell of the Nicholls section.

Funeral arrangements in charge of the Douglas Undertaking Company have been announced for Friday morning and interment will take place at the Hall Cemetery.
