Major League Baseball Player. Born in Mohawk, New York, he was an outfielder making his debut for the Cincinnati Reds on May 1, 1879. For nine season, he played for the Cincinnati Reds (1879), Cleveland Blues (1880, 1883-84, 1887-88), Worchester Red Legs (1881), Boston Red Caps (1882) and Brooklyn Grays (1885). He finished his career with a record of 931hits, 590 runs scored, 9 home runs, 371 runs batted in and a .267 batting average. He died at age 71 in Cleveland, Ohio.
