SEVERNA PARK, Md. -- Earl D. Walsh, 73, of Arnold, Md., died Sunday, August 24, 2003, at Anne Arundel Medical Center following a brief illness.
Mr. Walsh was born and raised in Butler, Tenn., and had lived in Arnold for 35 years. He was a 1956 graduate of East Tennessee State University, and was a retired Chemical Engineer after 25 years with Westinghouse.
Mr. Walsh served in the U.S. Air Force from 1945-1955. He enjoyed fishing and camping, and was assistant scout master for five years. He loved working crossword puzzles.
Survivors include his wife, two daughters, a son, three sisters, and four brothers. Seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, at Barranco & Sons Funeral Home in Severna Park. Interment will be at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville at 10:45 a.m. Thursday, August 28, with Pastor Janice Marie E. Lowden officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Children's Cancer Society, 1015 Locust, Suite 600, St. Louis, MO 63101.
