George A. Frantz is buried in plot 16.2 next to his wife Mary Jane (Harris) Frantz who is in plot 16.3. George's tombstone is currently broken in half.

December 16, 1892 Oregon Mist

FRANTZ- Near Gillton, on Wednesday noon, Dec. 14, George Frantz, of typhoid fever, aged 56 years, 8 months and 2 days.

Mr. Frantz was born in Germany April 12, 1836, and when six weeks old came with his parents to America, and came to Oregon in 1852. He has lived in Columbia County for many years and is well known by most of the old settlers. He leaves a wife and seven children to mourn the loss of a loving husband and father. The intement took place in Odd Fellows cemetery from the residence of Joseph Copeland yesterday at 2 o'clock.

George Frantz is brother to Frantz, Fred A. also buried at Bayview Memorial and his parents were John Frantz (1810-1852) and Susannah Quick (1811-1889). His father died in Salmon Falls Idaho in 1852. He also had a sister named Frantz, Susannah Katharine born
12 Feb 1850 in Indiana, died 14 Feb 1929 in Multnomah County. Not sure if she is buried at Bayview. His mother Susannah married Aaron Broyles in 1855. Susannah is also buried somewhere at Bayview. Susannah and Aaron had a daughter Broyles, Mary Adelia born 18 Apr 1857 in Houlton, Columbia County, died 27 Aug 1930 in St Helens, Columbia County. I am not sure if Mary is buried at Bayview Memorial.

George Frantz is my great great grandfather.
