BUNCH, Jerome - Jerome Bunch, only son of Mrs. A. Kissner, died of pneumonia at his mother's home in the northeast part of town last Friday morning at 8 o'clock after a very short sickness in the 40th year of his age. He had not enjoyed very good health since returning from the asylum last July. Such is the sad close of a life in which there was but little brightness or beauty. Afflicted since early manhood with a disease that was incurable, he spent his days in torment and his nights in terror. All that there was in his life to make it endurable was the faithful love and care of his mother. He was her all and to him was given all the thoughts, the efforts, the tears and the smiles of her life. He was but in the prime of life when all should be happiness and hope but God saw fit to take him and who shall say it was not best. He was buried Tuesday evening in the Odd Fellows' cemetery. His aged mother has the sympathy of all. [Benton County Democrat - Bentonville, Benton County, Arkansas - February 28, 1901]
