Meredith S. Abbink, 57, of Omaha, NE, died June 2, 2005 at Omaha. She was born August 13, 1947 at Falls City, NE to William W. Huebner and the late Delores (Wissmann) Huebner.
On April 12, 1975 she married Lester Abbink at Lincoln, NE. They established their home in Lincoln after the marriage.
Meredith was raised at Falls City and graduated from Falls City High School in 1966. She attended Southeast Community College at Fairbury and then took employment in Lincoln. In 1982 they moved to Sioux Falls, SD, then to Omaha in 1984 and they have lived there since. She operated Day Care Centers in Lincoln, Sioux Falls and Omaha. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church at Omaha.
Meredith is survived by her husband, Lester of Omaha, son Bruce and his wife Kristen of Omaha, daughter, Karen Abbink of Omaha, step-daughters, Angela Nice of Los Angeles, CA, Christine Abbink of Lincoln, step-sons, Mark Abbink of Princeton, NE, John Abbink of Atlanta, GA, father, William Huebner of Falls City, sisters, Carolyn Wolter and her husband Gary of Seward, NE, Denise Beyrooty and her husband Dennis of Downey, CA, and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother.
Funeral services will be held on June 6, 2005 10:30 AM at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church (north of Falls City) with Pastors Merelyn Snider and Charles Gierke officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
