Mae M. Boggs, 86, formerly of Connersville, Ind., died Thursday, May 12, 2005 at Woodland Country Manor in Somerville.
She was born in Clay County, Ky. on June 18, 1918, the daughter of the late James and Minty (Saylor) Morgan. She married Clifford Boggs on Dec. 18, 1938 and he preceded her in death in 1978.
Mrs. Boggs was a member of Park Place Church of God for 50 years, and attended Sugar Valley United Methodist in Eaton for 10 years. She had been a substitute school teacher for 10 years and had retired after 16 years from General Telephone Co. She was a member of the Order of Easter Star, Raleigh #508 in Raleigh, Ind.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Tinsley "Lee" and Belinda Boggs of Eaton; two granddaughters, Annette (Randy) Ballard of Morrow; Kathy (Steve) Clapp of Eaton; three great-grandchildren, Gabriel Ballard, Morgan and Jordan Clapp; two sisters, Catherine Wells of Annville, Ky. and Martha (Maynard) Taylor of Connersville, Ind.; a step-granddaughter, Michelle White of Dayton; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Albert, Henry, Hugh, Herbert and Elmer Morgan.
Funeral services were Monday, May 16, at Urban-Winkler Funeral Home in Connersville with the Rev. Randy Ballard officiating. Burial was in Dale Cemetery.
