Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in Defiance for Mrs. Sarah Ellen Stock, 82, mother of Mrs. Glen (Irene) Durham of Pioneer. Mrs. Stock, a native of Defiance county, died on Wednesday in the home of another daughter, Mrs. Clarence (Fern) Gasgill in Defiance with whom she had been living for the past 21 years. She had been ill for six weeks. Other survivors include seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a brother, Wesley L. Linebrink of Defiance. Her husband, Sylvester, and a daughter, Mrs. Earl Benner preceded her in death. -The Leader Enterprise, May 12, 1960
