He was born July 12, 1903, at Blandinsville, Ill., the son of Frank and Clara Darrah. Sept. 15, 1926, he married the former Rose Almquist at Galesburg, Ill. He had owned and operated an appliance repair shop since coming to Burlington in 1940.
Surviving are the widow; his parents; two brothers, Wayne W. and Everett Darrah, both of Burlington; four sisters, Mrs. Myrna Bailey of Burlington, Mrs. Maxine Boote of Washington, Ill., Mrs. Gwenith Asby of Bellflower, Calif., and Mrs. Madeline Steingraber of Augusta, Ga.; several nieces and nephews. A brother and a sister are dead.
The body is at Giles funeral home.
