Lucinda was born in Peters Twp., Washington County, the daughter of Samuel and Mary (Beyer-Boyer) Boyer.

She was the second wife of David Higbee, married 30 Aug 1865, in Washington County. (His first wife was her older sister Elizabeth.) They were members of the Peters Creek Christian Church, whose church building was once at the site of this cemetery, and which eventually was re-formed into the Brightwood Christian Church in the 20th Century.

David and Lucinda had six children:

(1) Elizabeth Boyer (Higbee) McAnulty (1868-1937)
(2) John Newton Higbee (1869-1946)
(3) Della Lucinda (Higbee) Kerr (1871-1952)
(4) Ella Dora (Higbee) Moseley (1873-1968)
