Rena Eskro was born August 9, 1912 on the family homestead eight miles northeast of Mildred, a daughter of Frank and Lydia Ann Hogmire. She attended Jones grade school and graduated from Mildred High School, after which she traveled, worked as a waitress and at the Terry Hospital.
She and Joseph Eskro were married September 20, 1952 in Rapid City SD. They farmed and ranched in Mildred. She helped Joe carry mail from Fallon to Mildred until 2001 when they retired and moved to Miles City, where she has lived since his 2002 death.
Mrs Eskro was 91 years of age when she died. Several nieces and nephews survive her.
