Before her marriage, she was Miss Sidney Jane Lam. She was a good neighbor, kind and loving mother, a member of the M.E. Church since childhood, and will be greatly missed in the community.
She leaves the following children: William and Walter Hensley, Mrs. Collie Monger, Mrs. William Davis, and Mrs. Fred Wyant. Seventeen grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.
Mr. Hensley preceded her to the grave two years ago. She also leaves one brother, Angus Lam; and two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Dean and Mrs. Susan McDaniel.
Funeral services were held from her late home Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock by Rev. Stearn of the U.B. Church of Elkton. The pallbearers were: M.D. Longley, L.C. Davis, T.L. Yancey, W.S. Rimel, N.W. Roach, Kerly Booton, C.S. Sipe, L.L. Sandridge and Joe Leap. Interment was at McGaheysville.
