Word has been received in Decatur of the death of Mrs Conrad Ammann,which occurred Thursday in Los Angeles, Cal. The body will be brought to Decatur for interment arriving here. It is expected, about Monday noon. Mrs. Ammann lived in Decatur for many years. She and her husband moved to California a few years ago and since then have traveled extensively about the country. They were here last fall spending about three months in Decatur. At that time Mrs.Ammann appeared to be in her ordinary health. She underwent an operation for cancer about a month ago and since then her death has been expected at any time. Mrs Ammnnn was Margaret Osmers. She was born in Germany Jan 1, 1850 but accompanied her parents to America when she was a little girl. They first located at St Charles, Mo, but soon after came to Decatur. She resided in Decatur for over thirty years. She was married to Conrad Ammann fourteen years ago. They went to Los Angeles three years ago. All during her residence in Decatur she was an active worker in the German Methodist church. She was widely known and held in high esteem. Her charity was well known and and she was always giving assistance to those in need. So far as is known she has no blood relatives living.
