Funeral services for Mr. Fred Pete Hines, age 93, of Fayetteville conducted at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. David Sain officiating. Burial in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mr. Hines passed away Friday afternoon at Lincoln Medical Center.
A son of the late Fred Ralston and Nellie Katherine Hale Hines, he was a native of Lincoln County, owner and manager of Towry fruit store, farmer, served in the 101st Airborne in WWII, and a member of West Fayetteville Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife Floy Hood Hines, daughter Vickie Anne Hines of Nashville, son James Lawrence "Larry" Hines of Smyrna, daughters Jane Warner and husband Lewis of Taft, Jean Malone and husband Bob of Fayetteville, Joy Ringpfeil and husband Victor of Franklin, Lori Mills and husband Benny of Smyrna, Ginger Spurlock and Leroy of Fayetteville, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother Joe Hines, sister Judy Phillips, and first wife Juell Hines.
