Mrs. Louise Brinkmann
Mrs. Louise Brinkman passed away last Thursday at her home in New Minden at 5 o'clock p.m., aged 70 years, 3 months and 22 days, after a lingering illness. She was born in Volmerdingsen, Minden, Prussia, Germany, and came to this country in her youth. Her husband passed away many years ago and six children preceded the mother to the Great Beyond. Those left to mourn her loss are eight children, William and August of St. Louis, Herman of Minden, Henry of Louisana, Mrs. Anna Schmidt of St. Louis, Mrs. Marie Horstman of Minden, Mrs. Lydia Nehrt of Minden, and Mrs. Louise Osiek of Covington; four sons-in-law, four daughters-in-law, twenty-two grandchildren, one great-grandchild, a sister Mrs. Charles Nehrt, two half-sisters, Mrs. Herm. Hemminghaus of Minden, and Mrs. Fred Buhrmester of New York; a half-brother, Henry Schaefer of Wisconsin; also, a large circle of relatives and friends. Mrs. Brinkman was a tender and devoted mother and a loyal supporter of her chuirch.
The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in the Minden Lutheran church and interment was made in the adjacent cemetery. Rev. E. F. Koestering officiated at both services.
