Christina was a daughter of Thomas Robertson & Christina Dumbreck from Walls, Shetland.
She 1st married Robert Cheyne on 4 June 1874 in Southvoe, Shetland, Scotland. They sailed to NZ, bringing Christina's sister Charlotte with them. They moved to Blenheim in 1880 and later Picton.
Their children were:
1875 - 1937 James Cheyne (+ Skilling)
1877 - 1947 Ann Margaret Cheyne
1880 - 1958 Mary Charlotte Agnes Cheyne (+ Fraser)
1882 - 1947 Robert Andrew Thomas Cheyne (+ Borille)

Robert died in Picton 5 March 1885 aged 41, leaving Christina & 4 children. Two years later, on 1 Nov 1887, Christina next married, in Marlborough, to James Beauchop (1852-).

BEAUCHOP-CHEYNE
- On the 1st November 1887, at the residence of the bride, Blookfield Cottage, main-street, by the Rev W. O. Robb, James Beauchop, native of Glasgow, Scotland, to the widow of the late Robert Cheyne, also of Scotland.
They moved to Newtown, Wellington.

In 1911 Christina, her daughter Ann Margaret Cheyne and Christina's 2 grandchildren of her widowed son James, moved to Woodville to be near another daughter, Mary Charlotte Fraser (Cheyne)

Christina died (as Beauchop), 2 days after the death of her beloved niece, Elizabeth O'Brian Lyve . However, she is buried under the name of Cheyne which is what her headstone reads.

Name in three newspapers Dumbreck, Dundreck and Dunbrek. Loved mother of Margaret Cheyne of Remuera, Auckland.
