Esther Bernice Boals, 85, of Garland, Texas passed away April 16, 2003, in Seguin, Texas. She was born Sept. 26, 1917, in Durant, Okla. to Everett and Birdie (Vandeventer) Combest. She was married to George Carson Boals. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Garland.
She is survived by her daughter, Patsy D. Thornton of Sequin; grandchildren Stephen Howard Thornton and wife, Phuong of Austin, and Daniel Bruce Thornton of Louisville, Ky.; great-grandchildren Kelly Rene Thornton; friend Gary Moore of Sequin; siblings Odell Combest of Calif., Lorece Davis and Faye Woods both of McKinney, Doyle Combest of Dallas, Dorman Combest of Ariz., Marshall Combest of Montana, Donald Combest, Kenneth Combest and Avalon Inez Harris all of Garland, and Dorothy Malone of Celina; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1986 and sister Aline Kindle.
