Angel Dawn Smith, 24, of Box Elder, S.D., died Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009, at home.

Angel was born April 8, 1985, in Effingham.

She was an artist and loved to sing. She also loved writing poetry and just recently had some of her poems published. She last worked at Pizza Hut in South Dakota.

Survivors include her father, Jeffrey A. Smith; mother, Carol Blankenship; sons, Tyler Csrilla and Jeramiah Smith; brothers, Kyle Finfrock and Cole Finfrock; sisters, Tiffany Hoyla, Crystal Smith and Natascha Buehnerkemper; grandparents, Kreed and Barbara Smith, Carolyn McCormack, and Marilyn Schram; stepsister, Monica Warner; stepbrother, Levi Hopkins; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by grandparents, Carl Schram and Gordon McCormack and by John Ward.

The funeral was at Rogers-Atkins Funeral Home, Salem, with Phil Martin officiating.

Burial was in Paradise Cemetery, Salem.
